Need to Know
Just about all new furniture looks good when new, the difference is how it holds up and provides service over time.
Be sure to ask about manufacturer’s warranty. Herman Miller products include 12 years with other lines carried by us going up to this same time period.
Don’t just look at the product: pull out the drawers; inspect the hardware; do things slide easy; is there good fit and alignment on doors and drawers; does the depth and height of the inner drawer space fit the exterior expectations?
How is the finish? If it is real wood, will the finish hold up over time or is it a quick coat of stain and finish so it looks good when new, and then shipped?
